On Friday, January 31, MTS Pictures launched the very first crowdfunding campaign on indiegogo.com for the new Film Souls Chapel. The film and its pre production began last year with writer DW, daring and collaboration with Director Jake C. Young.
The film’s official synopsis found on IMDb is:
“When a drifter is cutting through the backwoods of Kentucky in search of gold, he decides to weather the snow storm in a small church called Soul's Chapel. But will soon find out the fate that awaits him is anything but holy.”
Young stated that the title of the film and the events that take place are loosely based on a real life church that is allegedly haunted in the Somerset Kentucky area near Lake Cumberland in his hometown. The films cast is an exclusive lineup of Indie stars such as Jake C. Young, Adriana Curtsinger, Gage Carnes, Joseph McDowell and introducing Molly Gill. The film will also be accompanied by star talent Brian Bremer best known for his role as Bunt e the Pumpkinhead franchise.
Darring and Young both describe the film as being a western horror steampunk style vibe. With director, Jake C. Young, stepping in to the role of the drifter and looking completely unrecognizable and the films proof of concept trailer.
